Challie Schafer, RID, NCIDQ

I'm Challie Schafer, an Atlanta-based interior designer, design educator, and design researcher specializing in human-centered and inclusive design.

With more than a decade of experience in interior architecture and design, I've partnered with Fortune 500 companies to create high-performing workplace environments. Grounded in evidence-based design research, my work explores how the built environment can influence well-being, productivity, functionality, and the way people experience a space.

My passion for inclusive design grew from graduate research exploring how environments could better support neurodivergent students, and has continued to evolve through professional practice, teaching, and research. Today, as the founder of Interiors Inclusive and a professor of interior design, I bring these perspectives together to create and advocate for environments that respond to the full spectrum of human experience.

I believe great design should do more than look good. It should work beautifully for the people who use it.
